Weather will have an impact on the activity on this feed as flights maybe grounded/declined due to weather. Medevacs from neighboring states will also check in with REMCS when entering the state on interfacility transports. Each Medevac will notify REMCS when they are performing an inter-facility transport upon take off from their base.

Inter-facility transports (IHOP) are handled by each individual Medevac's Health System, Hospital association, or MICU Dispatch Center. For Medevac5 and Atlantic AirTwo, it is not strange to hear that the patient will be delivered to them at their base by local BLS/ALS. REMCS will also request for updates on their location while inflight by stating 'REMCS calling Northstar for Flight Following', Jemstar 1 will then provide their coordinates. You will hear them check in when they lift-off/Depart, On-Final, Landed ('Safe on Deck') and when they make 'patient contact'. Anytime a Medevac is airborne, they check in with REMCS including training and homeland security details. REMCS will then provide the details including coordinates, Landing Zone information, Frequency and on-scene unit contact, closest Trauma Center and nature of call. The unit will then respond and acknowledge followed by a request to 'go with the numbers (coordinates)'. You will hear something like "REMCS calling Jemstar2 for a Standby request in Ocean County" or "REMCS to Hackensack Air 1 for the GO request in Monmouth County".
